Bologna Recall Alert: Over 143,000 Pounds Pulled Due to Labeling Oversight

305

Gaiser’s European Style Provisions Inc. has issued a recall for more than 143,000 pounds of ready-to-eat bologna due to a labeling error involving undeclared meat or poultry ingredients. The issue affects seven varieties of bologna produced between March 20 and June 20, 2025. Each product involved in the recall is marked with the establishment number “EST. 5385.”

While this recall has been classified as Class III—indicating a low risk of health issues—the USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) still advises caution. Consumers are urged to check their refrigerators and either dispose of the affected items or return them to the store where they were purchased.

A complete list of the recalled products and their labels can be found in the official USDA recall notice. FSIS also advises anyone experiencing concerns about potential health effects to reach out to a medical professional.
