
Brakebush Brothers Inc., a leading player in foodservice chicken processing, recently announced its acquisition of Lake Foods, located in Hartwell, Georgia. Lake Foods specializes in the processing of raw, sized, marinated, and ready-to-cook chicken products.
While specific financial details of the deal remain confidential, Gregory Huff, the CEO and President of Brakebush, expressed optimism about the move. “This acquisition aligns perfectly with our growth strategy. The skills, values, and resources of Lake Foods enhance our ability to serve our current clientele while actively seeking opportunities in new markets,” Huff commented.
Founded almost a century ago, Brakebush Brothers is a family-owned enterprise recognized for its diverse range of value-added chicken offerings catering to the foodservice, chain, and industrial sectors. With the addition of Lake Foods, Brakebush now boasts a total of five production sites across the United States, maintaining its headquarters in Westfield, Wisconsin.
