A nationwide recall has been issued for Swiss Chalet-brand frozen chicken breast nuggets due to concerns about possible bone fragments, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) announced on Wednesday. The affected product is manufactured by Olymel.

“There have been reported injuries associated with the consumption of this product,” the CFIA stated, though details regarding the number, type, or severity of injuries were not disclosed.

The recall involves 700-gram packages marked with UPC 066701011479 and best-before dates BB 2025 SE 07 and BB 2025 SE 26. The packaging features an image of nuggets shaped like stars, moons, and planets.

Consumers are urged not to eat, serve, sell, or distribute the recalled product. The CFIA advises either disposing of it or returning it to the store where it was purchased.

A food safety investigation is underway, and officials warn that additional recalls may follow. The agency is also ensuring that the recalled products are removed from store shelves.

Olymel, which operates facilities in New Brunswick, Quebec, Ontario, and Alberta, employs approximately 12,000 people across its plants, offices, and distribution centers worldwide.
