USPOULTRY’s Women’s Leadership Conference to Focus on Effective Leadership Through Growth and Change

As “new normals” emerge, effective communication and strong leadership  continues to play a crucial role in successful organizations. USPOULTRY’s 2021 Women’s Leadership  Conference offers an opportunity for women leaders to hone these skills. Held Aug. 1920 at the Hilton  Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa in Destin, Florida, the conference attendees, from all levels of the  industry, will gain insight on a variety of topics.

“Effective leadership requires constant growth and development,” remarked Amanda Chosewood,  assistant treasurer, Fieldale Farms Corporation, and program planning committee chairperson. This  conference provides women the opportunity and the resources they need to develop their management  skills and walk away with the knowledge they need to be better leaders, both in and out of the  workplace. The program provides attendees with information on a variety of helpful topics, such as  stress management, effective communication, managing personality conflicts and more.”

The 2021 Women’s Leadership Conference planning committee is comprised of female professionals  with years of leadership experience in the poultry industry. The committee includes Michelle Arterburn,  House of Raeford Farms, Inc.; Amanda Chosewood, Fieldale Farms Corporation, and program plannincommittee chairperson; Teresa Dunlap, Wayne Farms LLC; Patricia Hawkins, Tyson Foods, Inc.; and Lisa  Noffsinger, Mississippi State University.
