The Feather Board Command Centre (FBCC) was made aware of symptoms consistent with H5 avian influenza (HPAI) in a poultry flock in the Township of St. Clair. CLICK HERE to access the 10km buffered FBCC biosecurity advisory map. For precise PCZ location please refer to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) map.
CFIA Primary Control Zones
CFIA will establish a Primary Control Zone (PCZ), in the area where the disease has been identified. Use the following link to access CFIA’s maps, which will be updated: Avian Influenza Control Zones.
Please implement heightened biosecurity immediately!
In the interim, as CFIA works to establish and announce the PCZ, please reinforce heightened biosecurity protocols including minimizing the movement of birds, people and equipment on and off of your farm – and within the described area. Biosecurity protocols can be accessed on the FBCC website.
CFIA has posted movement control permissions. Please access this information to determine which type of permit you may require. If you are required to submit a movement permission request, please do so 5-7 days in advance of the planned movement. Questions can be directed to cfia.ontmovementlicandpermits-deplacementlicenceetpermis.acia@inspection.gc.ca.
