State authorities have confirmed the tragic death of a worker in an accident at a turkey processing plant in Eastern Carolina.
The Department of Labor disclosed that the incident occurred at the Butterball plant situated on Garner Chapel Road in Duplin County. According to officials, a contractor lost their life, prompting the Occupational Safety and Health Division to initiate an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the worker’s demise.
