
Broiler/Fryer: Daily National Broiler Market at-a-Glance- December 23rd 2020
Whole broiler/fryer prices are generally trending steady
for all sizes. Offerings of all sizes remain moderate to
heavy for current trade needs. Retail and food service
demand is light to moderate. Processing schedules are
normal to reduced with some plants down for Christmas Eve,
and many plants down for Christmas Day. Floor stocks are
balanced. Market activity is slow to moderate. In the parts
structure, prices are trending steady to weak for boneless
skinless breasts and tenders, at least steady for wings,
and steady for the remainder of parts. Offerings of boneless
skinless breasts and tenders are readily available with Jumbo
size boneless skinless breasts slow to clear. Dark meat items
and wings are light to moderate with leg quarters and smaller
size wings in the better balance, and the balance of parts
are mostly moderate. Market activity for parts is slow to
moderate. In production areas, live supplies are moderate
to heavy. Weights are mixed, but reported as mostly desirable
to at times heavy.
