Shell Egg Academy (SEA) has announced new dates for its 2026 sessions, carefully selected to better fit attendees’ schedules and avoid conflicts with other major poultry industry events.

The Virtual Shell Egg Academy 101: A Practical Course for Egg Industry Employees will take place February 23–27, 2026, followed by the In-Person Shell Egg Academy: Advanced Knowledge, Leadership Development and Networking on September 1–3, 2026, hosted at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana.

Shell Egg Academy provides hands-on learning and practical education for egg industry professionals, with sessions focused on egg quality, food safety, processing, and best practices from leading experts.

Virtual SEA is a great place to start for employees of egg and allied vendor companies who are relatively new to the egg industry and/or who need a refresher on the basics of egg production and processing from a practical food safety and egg quality perspective.

In-Person SEA builds on the skills and knowledge learned at Virtual SEA and provides a much deeper dive into egg quality and food safety as well as enhanced networking opportunities with industry, academia, and the regulatory agencies that govern egg production and processing. In-Person SEA is perfect for managers of egg companies as well as sales, marketing and technical service employees of allied vendor companies.

“These new dates reflect our continued commitment to creating the best possible experience for participants,” said Dr. Darrin Karcher, Purdue University, Founder and Program Chair of Shell Egg Academy. “We want to ensure that everyone in the egg industry has access to world-class training without scheduling conflicts.”

More details about registration, speakers, and program topics for both programs in 2026 will be announced later this fall.
